ZAKYNTHOS CRUISES
Sail away over the sea to our neighbouring island of Zakynthos, famous for its impressive landscape and crystal clear blue waters. Take a dip in the sea at the famous beach of Navajo, renowned for its impressive shipwreck and vertical white rock face. Cruise along by the Blue Caves to admire the unique scenery, keeping a watch out for sea turtles and monk seals before enjoying lunch in the picturesque port of Agios Nikolaos, relaxing on the beach or indulging in a spot of shopping.
After transferring by coach to Port of Poros, we will board our cruise boat Hermes, for the day, departing at 09:00. Passing the Cape of Skinari, admiring the steep, rocky and very impressive coastline, we will arrive to the shipwreck itself, where, weather permitting, we will stop for swimming and photos. If sea conditions do not allow the boat to get close to the beach, we will swim at another beach close by. Then we will sail towards the Blue Caves, arriving in less than half an hour. It is during this time that the monk seals may be spotted as we pass the sea caves. We will admire the unique scenery and photograph the amazing colours reflected onto the caves from underwater. A further 30 min sail will take us to our last stop, Agios Nikolaos. This is a small picturesque village with a few shops and restaurants for those who want to eat and also two tiny beaches with free umbrellas for those wishing to swim afterwards. Here, the boat will drop its anchor for approximately two hours. Finally, leaving from Agios Nikolaos at about 14:30, one and a half hour sail will take us back to Kefalonia.
Itinerary and swim stops are subject to sea conditions.
